Your 2025 Horoscope: A Year of Fresh Starts and Second Chances
Get the scoop on 2025's astrology -- and what it means for you
2025 feels like waking up from a long slumber! Although we’re still rubbing the sleep out of our eyes, flashes of possibility have us eager to see more.
The dance of Saturn and Neptune
The main astrological event of 2025 happens as two planets -- authoritative Saturn and fanciful Neptune -- both move from placid Pisces into fiery Aries. Since Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac and Aries is the first, consider this your cosmic reset!
Saturn will be in Aries from May 24 to September 1, and Neptune will be in Aries from March 30 to October 22. Both then retrograde back into Pisces for the last part of the year.
The Neptune in Pisces era has been dominated by compassion for the vulnerable, and as this dreamy planet of idealism transitions into impulsive Aries, that energy could give way to increased demands. Saturn is the planet of repression and restriction, so a push too far from Saturn in Aries might be what finally provokes us to stand up for ourselves.
Eclipse awakenings
Meanwhile, the destiny-defining North Node, which moves backward rather than forward through the zodiac, passes from Aries into Pisces on January 11. This means that 2025’s eclipses will spotlight Pisces and its opposing sign, Virgo. This phase will ask us to develop the positive traits of Pisces, such as faith that the universe will provide for us, and release negative Virgo tendencies, like the idea that we must continually work to be worthy of anything good.
2025’s eclipses will take place on March 14, March 29, September 7, and September 21. The influence of the North Node in Pisces could also be especially significant on February 7, when spiritual Neptune conjoins the North Node, and on April 21, when lawful Saturn does the same.
More questions than answers
Complicating the March eclipses, relationship-focused planet Venus will be retrograde from March 1 to April 12, beginning in Aries and ending in Pisces (sensing a pattern yet?). Under this cosmic vibe, we might wonder whether it’s possible to be ourselves while connecting with others.
Continuing the theme of planets exploring new signs, unruly Uranus, which has been in Taurus for the past several years, will get its first taste of Gemini from July 7 to November 7. Gemini is associated with twinship and connection, so we may find our longtime alliances shaken up. We might also need to look at the way we project our unwanted shadow qualities onto other people.
On June 9, lucky Jupiter enters nurturing Cancer and stays there for the rest of 2025. Jupiter will trine the North Node on September 3, giving us a needed taste of watery sensitivity amid the intense Fire and Air energies of Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus.
2025 is likely to be a year when new trends appear but don’t fully take root. We shouldn’t be ashamed of ourselves if we aren’t quite ready to blast off -- this is a time to gather strength, renew our hope, and consider the many paths before us.
