Your birth chart is basically a snapshot of the sky at the time and place you were born. The horizontal line in the middle represents the horizon, so all the planets above it were in the sky if you looked up at that moment, and all the ones below it were underneath your feet.
In Astrology, the sky is like a mirror that reflects what’s happening down here on earth. By taking a closer look at where all the planets are in your chart and how they relate to one another, you can gain deeper insight into who you are, and more importantly, where you’re going.

Your Sun, Moon, and Rising
Who are you, in a nutshell? Every person is much too complex to be fully summed-up by their Sun sign. Moon signs and Rising (aka Ascendant) signs are just as influential on your personality, if not moreso! With expert insight on these factors, along with the houses in which your Sun and Moon reside, this chapter of the Ultimate Personality Report is an exploration of your core self, your style of nurturing, and the areas of growth that call most loudly to you. See how these essential ingredients combine to make you one-of-a-kind!
Sun in Pisces
☉ ♓
While most people are about 60% water, you might be closer to 90%. No wonder your eyes leak on the regular! Any number of emotions could be wrapped up in those tears. Heck, they may not even be your emotions. Regardless of the association, they need to flow. Your high H2O content makes you a sensitive conductor of energy. In other words, you feel everything around you. It might be difficult to distinguish where the feelings or sensations originate, so just make sure to build good boundaries … or else you’ll be swimming in everyone else’s dirty bathwater. Your sensitivity is a gift, but you’ll have to learn how to use it. You have the ability to metabolize human suffering because your reservoir of compassion is so vast. Draw from an infinite, cosmic source rather than your own personal reserves. Relying on the latter will only deplete your abilities, leaving you vulnerable to those who might take advantage of your big heart. Healing can't come from you, it must come through you. No need to sacrifice parts of yourself in order to save others. As romantic as that may sound, it just doesn’t work. With the proper protection, you are a channel for all that is beautiful in the human spirit. Poetry and music, myth and metaphor, fantasy and creativity -- it all lives in the waters you bathe in on the daily.

☉ Ⅺ
Talk about becoming the company you keep! The people you meet and connect with throughout your life will play a vital role in where your life ends up, so it’s important to use discernment with your friend group, family relationships, and community involvement. These aren’t just bit players, you know -- they’re your teachers, for better or worse. You will gain most of your personal power over time, so be patient with your process and stay open-minded about the opportunities to grow, learn, and expand that come your way. You have a soft spot for others and often find yourself helping those less fortunate than you. Philanthropic causes and dreams of making the world a better place, in ways both big and small, are highly motivating to you. With such a natural sense of empathy and compassion, it’s not hard at all for you to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. Others will be drawn to your giving spirit and generosity, but don’t forget to tend to yourself. Group settings or more casual connections are probably more comfortable for you than intimate, one-on-one dynamics. That’s nothing to be ashamed of -- you’ll just have to be mindful of how you show up for close friends or significant others.
Moon in Aries
☽ ♈
You need freedom to feel whatever you feel, and no one can stop you! As soon as your emotions come a-knocking, they’re already out the door. If you’re sad, why not cry? If you’re angry, why hide it? These are questions you might ponder when society tries to convince you that you need a filter. Some might call you hot-headed, others might call you innocent and open-hearted. Regardless, your impulsiveness can be wildly attractive. When the rest of the world is overthinking what to do, you’ve already done it. You have a fiercely instinctive nature, which makes you bold, brave, and even fearless. However, that doesn’t mean your knee-jerk decisions are always the best ones. Your relationships will benefit from learning how to respond to your emotions rather than react to them. At some point, you have to learn how to compromise and meet another person in the middle. If you don’t keep your short fuse in check, you’ll burn the house down. You may tend to pick fights just to know what your emotions are. Needless to say, this isn’t the best strategy. The flip side is that you’re able to forgive and forget quite easily. You’re a pioneer at heart and need to go your own way. That’s when your confidence shines. If an ugly emotion arises, slow down, take a deep breath, and feel it before putting up your dukes.
Moon in the Twelfth House
☽ Ⅻ
With an ocean of emotion like yours, you need a good life raft. If you constantly find yourself overwhelmed by big feelings, they may not all be yours. When someone is as attuned to the cosmic vibrational field as you are, they’re bound to absorb other frequencies. Don’t let someone else’s thoughts scramble your own signals. Not everything your internal radio picks up is coming from inside your head, but of course, it can be confusing to tell the difference sometimes. Try to avoid soaking up the pains of the world. Wring out your sponge once in a while so you don't get oversaturated. After you've discerned what emotional content is in fact yours, you'll still need to metabolize that material. While it may require that you spend extra time building your emotional discernment, your capacity for cosmic compassion and infinite love is a needed and beautiful gift. Hold tight to your softness. Be gentle with your soul. Protect your psychic sensitivity. Spending time in some sort of spiritual practice and connecting with the source of universal love will not only soothe your tired soul, but restore your reserves. You can’t heal the world all on your own.
Ascendant in Aries
♈
Let’s see how quickly you can read this. Everything you do, you do with a little pep in your step. Some might think you’re over caffeinated (which might also be true), but you’re really just an Aries Rising. Why waste time weighing out next steps? In your opinion, “just do it” is the best mantra. You were born to lead the way for others, mainly because you’re the first one out the door -- just remember to hold it open for whoever is behind you. Your brave and independent spirit does a great job of moving the needle forward. You crave new beginnings and risks in a way that feels almost insatiable. This could show up at your job, in your relationships, or where you live. Find balanced ways of getting your adrenaline fix so you don’t throw things away that haven’t expired yet. You are quite capable and self-sufficient on your own, though, making it difficult for others to know when and how they can help. Letting people in on your vulnerable parts isn’t really your style. Others could consider you rough around the edges and straight to the point. Try to notice where there are imbalances or a lack of reciprocity in your life. It might feel easy for you to know what you want, but can you slow down long enough to care about the desires of others?
Your Advanced Characteristics
Are you putting your best foot forward? Are you an open book, or are you inclined to stay hidden in the shadows? There's no end to what Astrology can teach you about yourself. In this chapter, you'll get to know the planet that rules your chart, along with some key aspects that affect how you show up in the world. Your IC (imum coeli, or "bottom of the sky), the point at the very base of your birth chart, also has its moment in the sun, illuminating the most deeply-rooted aspects of your path and personality! If your birth chart features any planets in the 1st House of Self, those planets will also get a little extra attention. These insights revolve around the version of you that exists underneath what other people see. Prepare to be amazed!

As a highly motivated go-getter, you likely don't pause too long before taking action. Impulse and movement can happen simultaneously for you. There’s a fiery quality to your nature that doesn't shy away from exertion when the right match is lit. You are the warrior charged with protecting what’s sacred. Take pains to choose your battles carefully lest you burn out in service to a less-than-noble cause. When there is no war to wage or castle to defend, you still need to take action in some form. No sitting still for you! You are made of energy that requires movement. Your body is a conduit that runs vast amounts of electricity. Physicality is like air, necessary to your very survival. You could also channel all that libido into building as opposed to shielding. Every project requires some force to make it manifest. You are that force embodied. Put all that stamina to use by doing the grunt work necessary to bring big dreams into reality. Just make sure you are directed towards something you genuinely believe in. Once you’re pointed in a particular direction, you’re ready to go like a rocket on a set trajectory. Take pains to set your course, then let it rip.
Sun in Pisces, Moon in Aries
Emotions require motion. Dance and spin and run in order to metabolize all that you empathically absorb. You have such a deep capacity to tap the well of cosmic mystery and float in the field of empathic connection. Wiggle your way through any overwhelm that could result from being such an attuned tuning fork. Physical activity is your key to successful emotional processing. Your vast reserves of human compassion require flow lest they become stagnant and toxic within your physical container. Let that internal river move at its own speed, adjusting to the seasons of life.

♋
Every human hopes to feel loved and nurtured, but for you, it’s an absolute must. In order to thrive, you need others to be attuned to you emotionally. It’s how you feel safe in the world. This need can quickly turn into a bad habit, though. Patterns of codependency could creep up when you’re not paying attention. Wanting the support of others is one thing, but needing them to process your emotions is another. You can do that on your own. However, if you had an emotionally difficult upbringing that left you feeling unsafe or unseen, you may find yourself constantly craving a sense of home outside yourself. Reality check: your greatest sanctuary actually lives inside of you already. You don’t need to manipulate others into being what you need. Work on regulating your own nervous system and feeling calm in your body. When you do, “home” will reveal itself. Your emotions might seem like the bane of your existence, and that perception may reflect the way your caretakers viewed their own feelings, so it’s important to be easy on yourself as you learn to regulate. Remember that connecting doesn’t mean enmeshing. Try to keep healthy boundaries within your intimate relationships to avoid creating self-fulfilling prophecies of being left or abandoned.

You're like a walking good luck charm, radiating optimism and enthusiasm wherever you go! Your larger-than-life personality makes you a magnetic force, drawing others to you like moths to a flame. Pros? You're the life of the party, and people gravitate to those flawless vibes. Your optimism is infectious, turning even the gloomiest of days into sunshine and rainbows. Cons? Well, you might have a tendency to overindulge in the good things in life, like that extra slice of cake or one too many puns. But hey, life's too short not to enjoy the ride, right? That’s your philosophy, and honestly, you could do a lot worse.

Would you mind coming out of your shell for a minute? Others could consider you quite enigmatic and reserved due to your fear of taking up too much space. Remember: making yourself small doesn’t help anyone. The people around you need your help to get things done! It’s second nature for you to work hard and achieve your goals, even if it takes a while. You have the time and energy to make things happen, making you reliable, patient, and diligent at whatever you do. You may have traditional ideas about how you want to live your life, but it’s important to let others live in their own desired way without judgment.

You’re not trying to be something you’re not. Understanding who you are and what you want out of your life comes easily for you, and that’s a true gift. It’s important to understand that others might project insecurity onto you or try to talk you out of following your dreams if they’re less comfortable expressing themselves. Don't let that get in your way! You’re at your best in partnerships with confident people who build you up rather than drag you down. Use your confident nature, cooperative spirit, and seemingly endless energy reserve to help everyone shine!

Change might as well be your middle name! You may have felt like a free spirit for most of your life, but most trendsetters are. Do you find yourself changing your look, your mind, or your overall path quite often? Others probably view you as innovative, different, and just plain interesting. You could have a rebellious streak, but it likely works to your advantage. Your naturally liberated self helps you be in touch with your brilliant creativity. With such a strong sense of identity, you might consistently find yourself helping others who are insecure, fighting off injustice, and rooting for the underdog.
Jupiter Sextile Sun
☉ ⚹ ♃
Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Others might find it almost miraculous how you always end up attracting new opportunities for love, work, or money. It could be due in part to your positive attitude. Even through challenges, you can often find the silver lining, allowing others to also feel optimistic in your presence. Your desire for happiness often trumps any desires for excessive wealth, but you might find that you are blessed with both in this lifetime. You would do well to teach, lead, or motivate others on a larger scale, since your generous spirit is inspiring.

☉ △ ⚷
Holding space is a special skill of yours. You intuitively understand the potential value in suffering, because facing your shadows helps you to see who you are. Your empathy rises when you can relate to others’ pain from your own experience. It is through your journey of finding meaning out of injustice that you yourself become a beacon of hope for others. You cannot avoid hurt in this lifetime, but you can utilize those experiences to develop resilience. This perspective will not only carry you through difficult times -- it will also allow you to benefit from them.

Are those your emotions you’re wearing on your sleeve? They move so quickly, it’s hard not to notice the constant outfit changes! You probably come off as emotional … and perhaps even a bit moody. You’re hitting a 10 out of 10 on the authenticity meter with those you know well, but it takes some effort to get there. Those who are newer in your life might consider you private and guarded. You’re caring and compassionate at heart -- you just need to trust others before you let them closer than arm’s length. Once you feel safe, you don’t mind being attached at the hip. Folks likely appreciate how emotionally intelligent you are and how warm your presence feels -- when they’re on your good side, of course.
Mercury Sextile Ascendant
☿ ⚹
You bake sweetness into your words, so when they come out of your mouth, everyone wants seconds. You’re optimistic, bubbly, and quite charismatic. The way you connect with others tends to be quite witty, leaving them entranced with what you’re sharing. You may find that you end up in management roles or as the leader of your friend pack. Most of this will happen naturally, so if you’re ever in the mood to take a back seat, you might have to fight for it! It’s easy for you to relate with others, but it’s still important for you to feel like the ones you love are making an effort to hear you.

Hey, good lookin’! With Venus conjunct your Ascendant, others are attracted to your natural beauty and charming personality like moths to a flame. In fact, you have a deep appreciation for anything aesthetically pleasing. Whether that means using your refined grace and social skills to host an elegant soiree or channeling your desire for harmony into an interior design project inspired by feng shui, you of all people know that life is gorgeous. You see the world through the lens of your relationships, and in turn, the people you love may be your world. Having balance and equality in those connections is of utmost importance to you.

Try not to take this personally! You could find that you’re highly sensitive to what other people say about you, wrapping a lot of your sense of self on the opinions and moods of others. This all boils down to identity issues that likely started in childhood. Make sure you stir the bottom of your pot to see how you really feel. A strong sense of self will be a necessary ingredient. Try to resist letting others decide who you are, what you want, or where you’re headed. This is your life. When you connect with your strong intuition and allow your wild imagination to roam free, your inner voice will have all the answers.
Your Personality Expression
Raise your voice, babe! Three key planets -- Mercury, Venus, and Uranus -- rule over your approach to self-expression. Your communication style, your aesthetic preferences, the activities that allow you to express yourself most deeply ... all these things and more are waiting to be revealed. In this chapter of the Ultimate Personality Report, you'll learn the ways of speaking, writing, dressing, and creating that feel most aligned to your skills and desires. You don't have to be a square peg in a round hole any longer! Find the creative expression that's true to you, then let it flow.
Mercury in Aquarius
☿ ♒
What do a unicorn, a UFO, and your Mercury-in-Aquarius mind have in common? Well, they’re all a little out-of-this-world. The way you think and communicate with those around you is quirky, eccentric, and possibly ahead of your time. Others might even find you to be a bit weird or complicated, as your thought process is different than most. It’ll feel isolating if you try to connect with people who prefer to stick to the status quo. In order to truly thrive in this lifetime, you will need to find a tribe of like-minded people to surround yourself with. Even though you think outside the box, you can become pretty attached to your bright ideas. Watch out for those stubborn tendencies. Don’t be afraid to let go of old habits or beliefs so new ones can emerge. You are not the type to shy away from discussions and disagreements, especially when they help you feel inspired and mentally-stimulated. Your ability to communicate clearly gives you natural leadership qualities as others are drawn to your inventive thoughts and ideologies about life and how to live it successfully. Your cool attitude can come off a little detached at times, so practice dressing your words in warm layers.

“I’ve never met anyone like you” is about the best compliment you could receive. You're a social butterfly with a flair for networking and connecting with people from all walks of life. Your mind thrives in the vibrant atmosphere of group settings, where ideas flow freely and conversations sparkle with energy. Getting lost in the shuffle is a nightmare, though -- you value originality and never want to be just another nameless face in the crowd! You have a natural gift for bringing people together and fostering a sense of camaraderie among friends and acquaintances. Whether it's organizing a casual get-together or spearheading a collaborative project, you excel at coming up with unorthodox ideas. Your wide circle of friends and acquaintances exposes you to a diverse range of perspectives and ideas, fueling your insatiable curiosity and thirst for knowledge. You're always eager to learn from others and exchange ideas. Your friendly and approachable demeanor makes you a magnet for interesting conversations and stimulating debates. This is perfect, since you love showing off that big brain! In your social interactions, you prioritize authenticity and genuine connection, valuing the bonds of friendship that enrich your life. You're a beacon of mental rigor and social grace.

Has anyone ever told you to speak up? Are you tired of having others tell you to just spit it out? It could feel as if there’s a distant memory of a time you stumbled over your words and fell flat on your face. Maybe your opinion got you into a whole lot of trouble. Or perhaps you used slanderous words with malintent in another lifetime. The fear that haunts you of repeating the past may prevent you from saying anything at all. But don’t be fooled -- despite any learning difficulties that might trouble you or communication blocks that trip you up, your brain is nothing short of brilliant. Since your mind works overtime trying to make sure the right words come out of your mouth, it’s quite possibly the strongest part of your body. You’re just learning how to land on your feet.
Venus in Aries
♀ ♈
It can be tough for you to know the difference between spontaneity and recklessness. Speaking or acting too rashly can lead to unwanted consequences. Bearing that in mind, you undoubtedly require some level of novelty in your personal endeavors -- excitement and surprise are majorly inspiring for you! This doesn't necessarily mean you have to change jobs every six months or entertain an endless stream of lovers (though if that’s the game plan, more power to you!). Just make sure to take pride in your ability to roll with the punches. Whether you’re playing dress-up or making a playlist, you like to keep people guessing!
Uranus in Capricorn
♅ ♑
Any renovations you make will have all the necessary permits in place. The blueprints will be precise and accurate. You're not one to shy away from change, but it has to be intentional and purposeful. Creative innovation is synonymous with viability. In fact, they likely emerge in concert. As you begin to see the feasibility of an idea, your excitement and enthusiasm increase. This means that even your most revolutionary ideas have staying power. It is likely that the very areas that light your creative genius involve tectonic shifts. Your orientation is towards structural integrity, so cracks in the foundation will really get your attention. A lot of your battles are of the uphill variety, and they’re not likely to be wrapped up overnight – you’re not satisfied by a simple surface makeover or shallow cosmetic improvements. Let your capacity for liberation evolve. Faster is not always better. As you are well aware, a shaky base will come crashing down at the first sign of upheaval. You may have learned this lesson from having your own world rocked to its core. It is a hard won insight that now has you favoring sustainable change over dramatic but short lived advancement.
Uranus in the 9th House
♅ Ⅸ
You are a rule-breaker and a radical in your thought processes! Other people in your life could be confused by how willing you are to ignore the norms and step outside of the status quo in order to explore the edges of the human experience, but to you, it makes perfect sense. You are probably deeply moved by cross cultural experiences and the lives of those who are very different from you. You do well when you travel, and connecting with others feels natural and engaging, like you’re finally living in alignment with your purpose. You love the experiences you have out in the big wide world, but reading or diving into spiritual practices can be every bit as affecting. You are not one to entertain close-mindedness -- a person must be open to all walks of life and trains of thought if they want to hang with you. When you are in the mode of creating, it’s important for you to find inspiration from idols, mentors, and traditions. You will push many boundaries with your work and ideas. You’re not eager to accept the boundaries and limitations that are already set in place. Instead, the world is something like a playground for you, with flexible rules and space to roam.
Mars Conjunct Uranus

Volcano much? Explosive bursts might be your modus operandi. Whatever flavor the impulse takes, be it passionate or angry, it's likely sudden and intense. Regardless, your raw sexual energy could melt someone’s heart. You aren't one to sit on the couch and wait for what you want. You'll make it happen! The downside is that your need for excitement can cause you to be quite impulsive. It’s probably hard for you to keep a lid on your passion, but taking time to burn off some steam may be necessary to avoid any unnecessary implosions. Instead of spontaneously erupting all the time, channel your energy constructively. That’s where you’ll release your inner genius.
Jupiter Trine Uranus
♃ △ ♅
You are masterful and creative, and staying curious about all of the unknowns that lay ahead of you is no sweat at all. You love to explore new ideas, places, and people, giving you experiential opportunities throughout your life. Pushing the boundaries of your own lived experience, as well as society’s limitations, gives you a thrill. Others would describe you as fun-loving, progressive, and untraditional. You crave growth and expansion -- you find the most success when you honor those urges. Life usually rewards you when you take calculated risks and put yourself outside of your comfort zone.
Saturn Conjunct Uranus
♄ ☌ ♅
Creativity and practicality both find a home with you. This internal balancing act allows you to go after your greatest goals with ease. You are energized and motivated to make changes in your life, and your self-awareness allows you to take the right step at the right time. However, no matter how often life has worked in your favor, you may still struggle with indecision. Others find you to be cold and calculated at times, making collaboration a bit more challenging. Honoring your talents and working independently will be in your best interest as you bring your artistic and professional genius to life!
Your Next Steps
Planets
The planets of our solar system -- including the Sun, Moon, and Pluto -- create a sort of map in the cosmos. When a person looks at their Astrology birth chart, they are looking at the exact locations of each planet at the moment of their birth -- in essence, a map of their life.
Each planet is connected to a deity, archetype, or idea that represents some part of our fundamental nature as humans. By understanding the meaning of each planet and the ways it can influence our lives, we have the opportunity to understand not only what drives us, but, ultimately, how far we can go.

This is the fixed pillar at the center of the person around which all else revolves.
The sign placement of the Sun indicates how your natural drive and ambition are going to be directed. The sign of the Sun is the most primary indicator of the forms of experience you are attracted to. The house placement of the Sun shows the primary area of expression for the individual in life. There is a psychological, emotional, and physical significance to the house placement of the Sun.

Chiron is a minor planet located between Saturn, a planet of restriction, and Uranus, a planet of liberation. Often called The Wounded Healer, Chiron’s placement in your birth chart indicates an important struggle in your life. Facing this challenge is a major opportunity for personal healing and can also prepare you to be a support to others who deal with similar core wounds.
Elements
The Fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. The Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. The Air signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. And the Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
The four elements -- Fire, Earth, Air, and Water -- describe the inherent temperament and orientation of each sign of the zodiac. As the ancient Greeks taught, everything in the universe including the human personality can be examined in terms of these elements.
Fire and Earth are primary elements and have to do with the self. Conversely, Air and Water are derivative and therefore more focused on others. The elements of Fire and Air tend to be extroverted, active, and freedom-oriented, while Earth and Water are more introverted, passive, and security-oriented.

Aspects
When a planet in the sky makes a specific angle to another planet, that angle is called an “aspect.” Planets that are aspecting each other are influencing each other, changing each other’s energy. Some aspects are soft, meaning that the qualities of the two planets come together smoothly and harmoniously. Other aspects are hard, meaning that the qualities are at odds with one another and may create tension or conflict.
There are a handful of different types of aspects, but most astrologers focus on six major aspects: the conjunction, sextile, square, trine, quincunx, and opposition. You can learn what each of these means -- plus a few rarer aspects -- by reading below.
A note about Orbs: Planets don’t have to be at the EXACT degree for us to feel its effects. The number of degrees that two planets can travel apart while still being considered in aspect is called the “orb.” Different astrologers use different orbs, but the closer that two planets are to an exact aspect degree (the smaller the orb), the more noticeable the effects will be.
Conjunction 0 degrees
0 degrees
If two planets occupy the same degree or are very close to each other, they are said to be conjunct. Most astrologers believe that conjunctions are dynamic, but not as difficult and challenging as squares and oppositions. Planets that are conjunct tend to energize each other.
Sextile 60 degrees
60 degrees
If two planets are close to being 60 degrees apart, they are said to be sextile to each other. Sextiles are similar to trine aspects and considered favorable.
Squares 90 degrees
90 degrees
If two planets are close to being 90 degrees apart, they are said to be square to each other. Almost all astrologers agree that squares are motivating but can be difficult. Some astrologers emphasize the negative potential of a square, while others focus on the character-building potential inherent in this aspect.
Trine 120 degrees
120 degrees
If two planets are close being 120 degrees apart, they are said to be trine to each other. Most astrologers agree that trines are soft and easy, pleasant and harmonious, but sometimes lazy. However, trines can provide relief from the tension inherent in more challenging aspects that may also be present in a person’s chart.
Quincunx 150 degrees
150 degrees
If two planets are close to being 150 degrees apart, they form a quincunx aspect. Most astrologers view the quincunx as being awkward, bothersome, and requiring adjustments from a person.
Opposition 180 degrees
180 degrees
If two planets are close to being opposite to each other in the sky, they are forming an opposition aspect. Most astrologers agree that oppositions are difficult and often emphasize challenges with other people. However, the challenges suggested by an opposition can be balanced and resolved with effort.
Semi-Sextile aspect 30 degrees
30 degrees
If two planets are close to being 30 degrees apart, they form a semi-sextile aspect. This is generally regarded as being a slightly harmonious or favorable minor aspect.
Semi-Square aspect 45 degrees
45 degrees
If two planets are close to being 45 degrees apart, they are in semi-square aspect. This minor aspect is similar to a square aspect, though often not quite as intense. Some astrologers feel that the semi-square creates very internal challenges or conflicts.
Sesquiquadrate 135 degrees
135 degrees
If two planets are close to being 135 degrees apart, they are in sesquiquadrate aspect. Generally regarded as being similar to a square, but some astrologers feel that this minor aspect is easier to release and express than a square aspect.
