Your birth chart is basically a snapshot of the sky at the time and place you were born. The horizontal line in the middle represents the horizon, so all the planets above it were in the sky if you looked up at that moment, and all the ones below it were underneath your feet.
In Astrology, the sky is like a mirror that reflects what’s happening down here on earth. By taking a closer look at where all the planets are in your chart and how they relate to one another, you can gain deeper insight into who you are, and more importantly, where you’re going.

Your Love Personality
When it comes to love, what’s your type? Whether you’ve got a 10-page list of qualities you look for in a partner or just a vague idea of the person you want, everyone has their preferences. Venus, the planet of love, can tell you everything you need to know about why certain people catch your eye while others leave you yawning. What are you ultimately seeking in relationships? And what challenges get in your way? Here, we’ll look at what Venus is up to in your birth chart, as well as what’s going on in your 7th House of Relationships. When you’re done, you’ll know exactly what to look for in an ideal mate.
Venus in Libra
♀ ♎
You have a gift for seeing beauty in the people around you, and while you probably prefer to keep it that way, love isn’t always pretty! More likely than not, you’ve held the image of an ideal partnership in your mind since childhood. However, that image could probably use an update. Instead of worrying about what others think of your relationship or what you think your relationship should look like, use that energy to get clear on what you want. You’re so empathically attuned to others that sometimes you don’t even know what you need. When that happens, you’re quick to project your needs onto someone else. So, you need a partner who’s capable of listening, learning, and connecting with you as an equal. Since peace and harmony are your guiding lights, you may be hesitant to rock the boat with ugly emotions. Expressing anger in particular can be a big challenge, since you might believe you won’t be loved if you’re anything but pleasant all the time. Well, you know that’s not realistic. If you can release your emotions a little bit at a time like a valve, you will slowly overcome your passive-aggressive tendencies. This can help you construct a healthy partnership that fulfills your genuine need to share your life with someone else.
Venus in 12th House of Dreams
♀ Ⅻ
Love is not just a casual coincidence, but rather a divine destiny. With Venus in your 12th House, you’re plugged into the interconnectedness of all things. This inner knowing makes your imagination so strong that you can fill a blank canvas with ease and grace. Becoming a celebrated artist is not outside the realm of possibility for you, since your endless compassion will inevitably shine through your creative expression. Be careful not to get too comfortable in the realm of fantasy, though -- being a hopeless romantic can get you a little lost. If others notice your big heart, they might be tempted to take advantage. You’re so sensitive to the pain and suffering of others that you likely want to tend to them as if they’re your own. This is where you need to learn how to color inside the lines. Despite your desire to merge with the people you love, owning your boundaries is a necessary step in forming healthy relationships. There’s a big difference between being generous and being self-sacrificial. If a part of you wants to hide or escape into someone else’s storyline, then ask yourself -- what kind of internal pain are you avoiding?
Venus Conjunct Ascendant
♀ ☌
Hey, good lookin’! With Venus conjunct your Ascendant, others are attracted to your natural beauty and charming personality like moths to a flame. In fact, you have a deep appreciation for anything aesthetically pleasing. Whether that means using your refined grace and social skills to host an elegant soiree or channeling your desire for harmony into an interior design project inspired by feng shui, you of all people know that life is gorgeous. You see the world through the lens of your relationships, and in turn, the people you love may be your world. Having balance and equality in those connections is of utmost importance to you.
Venus Conjunct Pluto
♀ ☌ ♇
Others can sense your mysterious attractiveness from a mile away. You’re like a magnet with opposite poles -- sometimes you want to dive head-first into a relationship and merge souls, and other times you want to run for the hills to save your sovereignty. Ultimately, you’re after intimacy -- intimacy with others and intimacy with yourself. Finding a balance between the two will be a lifelong journey. The people who come into your life are here to help you transform into a truer version of yourself. You must learn to trust when it’s time to hold on and when it's time to let go.
Venus Square Midheaven
♀ □
Are those your dreams you’re following, or someone else’s? With Venus square your Midheaven, there’s some tension between your personal values and your family’s values. You’ll be deeply dissatisfied if you continue to pursue a path that doesn’t have your name on it. But deep down, you might have no idea what you want to be when you grow up, even if you’re already past that point. It’s never too late to pivot. In order to figure out where to go next, start by facing the insecurities that get in your way, so the path ahead is clear.
Venus Sextile Neptune
♀ ⚹ ♆
One thing is for sure, you wouldn’t hurt a fly. You can see yourself in just about anyone, so what’s the point of fighting? Your keen eye for beauty and deeply empathic nature make you an asset to any social gathering. Someone may meet you for the first time and then five minutes later realize they’ve told you their entire life story. Get used to it -- you have that effect on people. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to learn some boundaries! Your generous nature can be taken advantage of if you are not in touch with where you end and the rest of the world begins.
Aries on the 7th House Cusp of Relationships
♈
Are you looking for a teammate, or an opponent? Relationships are where you go to find yourself, so you’re attracted to someone who challenges you and reminds you of who you are. This can lead to trouble, though! Relationships are bound to go through ups and downs, but you can’t always be picking fights with one another. Deep down, your biggest fear might be losing yourself in your relationship. Don’t take this out on them. Instead of raising your fists, find ways to embrace your independence. Authenticity is non-negotiable. You can be in partnership and still maintain your autonomy.
Venus Direct
♀ 𝐃
It’s smooth sailing for your love life -- okay fine, maybe that’s not true. Things can get rocky now and then, and you’re not exactly immune to getting seasick, but you’re probably not going to get lost at sea or anything! With Venus moving direct, you’ve got a relatively clear view of what you want in relationships. And while there might be some other aspects in your birth chart that muddy the waters, your ship is moving forward, even if you have no idea where you’re headed. Who needs a map or a compass when you’ve got a heart to follow?
Your Love Language
Now let’s talk about your love language. Maybe you use words of affirmation to show someone you care. Or perhaps you do so nonverbally through physical touch. Everyone has their own unique way of expressing the L word, and understanding your communication style can help you do so without it being so terrifying. In your birth chart, Mercury reveals how you communicate, while the Moon has a lot to say about how you nurture others and what helps you feel emotionally supported. Here, you can explore these astrological placements, along with what’s happening in your 3rd House of Communication. The revelations might just leave you speechless!
Mercury in Libra
☿ ♎
Listen up! Your communication style is less about talking and more about listening. Your ear is always open and shows your loved ones that you care. But don’t be fooled, you can charm your way into or out of almost anything. The way you talk the talk is something like a song -- harmonious, balanced, and able to appeal to all sides. You tend to show your affection for others through kind words and flattering remarks. And although you’re rarely fishing for compliments, you’ve always got bait on the line. You’d never admit it, but you just want to be told you’re beautiful. Who doesn’t? Your feelings, however, are not always pretty. Instead of hiding them out of fear of rejection, get comfortable with speaking your truth, even if it doesn’t sound cute.
Moon in Scorpio
☽ ♏
You like it hot! Or at least a little intense. If someone can't stand the heat, then in your mind, they need to get out of the kitchen. Deep intimacy is what you're going for, a magnetic connection that can only be forged by traversing the lands of vulnerability. In order to feel safe, you must first be allowed to inspect the deepest recesses of someone’s soul. Bearing your traumas and insecurities is your love language. This intimacy stuff is dangerous business! A strong trust must first be established, but once it is, the container you create can hold it all. Nothing makes you feel more loved than hearing someone's darkest secrets.
Mercury Sextile Mars
☿ ⚹ ♂
If flirting was a sport, you’d probably be team captain! You’re quick on your feet, making you an asset in any emergency situation or bedroom activity. You could find that you’re quite reactionary, which could come off as combative. Listening and leaning into cooperation a bit more could go a long way. When you take you partner into consideration, you both win. Figure out how to use your strong intellect and passionate opinions to your advantage by standing up for who and what you believe in. You are fearless and brave, and when you lean into these qualities, everyone wants to be on your team.
Mercury Sextile Uranus
☿ ⚹ ♅
If there’s a code to crack, you’re on it. Your knack for reading between the lines is uncanny, and perhaps a bit telepathic. New concepts, ideas, and technological advancements all keep your gears turning, and staying in the know is key to your success. Your propensity toward amazement can be almost child-like in nature. When relating to others, it’s important that you surround yourself with fellow intellectuals who challenge and inspire you, otherwise you’ll be screening their boring phone calls. When you find yourself stagnant or unexcited, take that as an opportunity to move onto something -- or someone -- new.
Mercury Conjunct Saturn
☿ ☌ ♄
Turn that frown upside down! With Mercury conjunct Saturn, you may tend to be a bit of a Negative Nancy. Taking things (and yourself) too seriously will only make your relationships harder than they need to be. At the same time, your drive can help you achieve mastery over your passions and ideas. Your calculating behavior and fierce reliance on facts can sometimes come at the expense of intuition and spontaneity, though. Be sure to balance work and pleasure, since not everything in life is meant to feel like a job. When you’ve got this in check, you’ll find that you are naturally organized, structured, and confident under pressure.
Sagittarius on the 3rd House Cusp of Communication
Ⅲ ♐
There’s nothing boring about your communication style. Your bag of tricks is filled with jokes, stories, and big ideas. You’re excited to learn about your partner’s beliefs and have discussions about the meaning of life. Your love language is having fun with those you adore -- after all, that’s why we’re all here! Think spontaneous weekend adventures, game nights, or just cracking one-liners and making your people laugh. You show how wildly your love runs for them by bringing positivity and enthusiasm into the conversation. Others want to be around that contagious spirit (as they should!).
Mercury Direct
☿ 𝐃
While there are many other aspects in your chart that can inhibit your ability to express yourself, luckily for you, the planet of communication is moving full speed ahead. Unlike those with Mercury Retrograde, who are prone to trip over their words or might be unable to talk the talk, your thoughts roll off your tongue with greater ease. This doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a confident speaker or that your ideas make any sense for that matter (you’ll have to see what else Mercury is up to in your chart to find that out). But with Mercury moving forward, you’ve got words and you know how to use them.
Your Desires in Love
What really gets you going? Mars, the planet of sex, passion, and action, has a lot to say about how you use your energy. By understanding the nuances of how you assert yourself in the world and what motivates you to do so, you can learn a lot about your approach to sex and romance. So, what does it take to turn you on? It’s time to find out. Here, we’ll look at what Mars is up to in your birth chart, as well as what’s happening in your 5th House of Romance and your 8th House of Intimacy. Warning: it’s about to get hot in here.
Mars in Leo
♂ ♌
Talk about hot to the touch! It’s not hard to get you in the mood. In fact, you’re probably the one waiting for your partner to get riled up. You love love, so much so that it can catch someone off guard like a deer in headlights. Your passion and magnetism are sure to stop them in their tracks. It’s easy for you to tap into a sense of confidence in all that you do, and that’s attractive. The thing is, your bright light often shows others how they’re holding themselves back just by comparison. Some may interpret you as being “too much”, but those people are probably just envious. You could feel pretty natural in front of a camera or a crowd of people, but your favorite place to perform might be the bedroom! You don’t mind a little praise, so it’s nice when someone tells you you’re good at what you do. There’s nothing wrong with feeling attractive or desired, unless the compliments are one-sided, of course. Your fiery passion will easily translate into steamy and long-winded evenings with your partner. It’s important for you to have someone that you know other people desire. You love a challenge, and also love to win that challenge since it keeps things fun. You take pride in the hearts you’ve captured. Try not to play games with them, though. Keep your childlike playfulness for the bedroom, since you’re so good at that.
Mars in 10th House of Career
♂ Ⅹ
Are you inspired by people who are remembered long after they’ve passed? Do you hope to also leave behind a legacy with your name on it? That tracks! Your desire for recognition comes from a desire to leave your mark on the world. Others might consider you competitive, self-important, or even controlling at times, but your intentions come from a good place. With regard to your career, you’re motivated to do things your way, so an entrepreneurial or leadership role is ideal. Be sure to find healthy ways to unplug from work and not take it into your sacred space. The bedroom is no place for a business call! Work-life balance is key for someone so goal-oriented. You might be attracted to others who are also after a life of success and achievement. (Did you really just ask to check out someone’s resume before agreeing to go on a date with them?) It's no surprise if you tend to be the dominant one in the bedroom. You want to call the shots! Role play can be a fun way to explore these desires for power. If left unchecked, though, your drive to be in charge can push others away. It’s important for you to express yourself more vulnerably to the people around you in order to be fully understood. You don’t have to guard your soft interior quite so forcefully.
Mars Conjunct North Node
♂ ☌ ☊
If the past and the future could both speak, they would probably tell you to stay present. You might find that you have one foot on the gas pedal and the other on the brake. You may go through bouts of feeling deeply nostalgic for what was while yearning eagerly for what the future holds. In order to follow your life’s destiny, you need to figure out how to channel your life force despite this ambivalence. Assert yourself without worrying about stepping on toes. Express yourself boldly without needing permission. Process your anger without starting a pointless fight. This is especially important in partnerships and sexual experiences. Be brave and go your own way!
Mars Trine Uranus
♂ △ ♅
Chaos is not for everyone. You, on the other hand, thrive in it. You’d probably take a fast-paced erratic environment over a predictable routine any day. Spontaneity feels exhilarating and motivating to you, and as a result, you probably produce your best work when under the gun. Your creative juices don’t just need room to fill up your cup, they need freedom to spill over. You know how to ride the waves of adrenaline without drowning, but not everyone else does. Be mindful that you don’t make a mess for others just because you’re bored. There's no need to break a dam just for the excitement of a tsunami.
Aquarius on the 5th House Cusp of Romance
Ⅴ ♒
Do you ever feel like a weirdo when it comes to dating? Well, that’s because you are! With your eccentric approach to romance, you’re attracted to people who swim against the current. Others may see you as pretentious or hard to impress, but that’s only because for you, passion is intellectual. You love connecting over ideas, so a fiery debate will really get your gears going. You may find that you’re more open-minded when it comes to romance than most people. It’s important for you to have an exploratory and unconventional approach to sex in order to feel truly fulfilled. So don’t settle for vanilla when what you really want is chocolate with sprinkles on top!
Taurus on the 8th House Cusp of Intimacy
Ⅷ ♉
Bodies are not meant to only experience pain and suffering, but that’s not news to you. Sensual to the core, you understand that every one of your five senses is a doorway to ecstasy. Unfortunately, shame may have infected your ability to truly relish carnal gratification. Release outdated notions that leave you feeling bad for wanting to feel good. Your main way of connecting intimately with others is through the body. Denial of your sensual urges could lead you to secretively act them out. Embrace the erotic so you can feel just as satisfied after a sexual encounter as during. It is not your desires themselves, but rather the societal conditioning around them that could use an update.
Your Love Predictions
The planets are constantly moving, and as their energies shift, so does your love life. While some days are ripe for romance, others are frankly better for hiding under the covers (with or without a special companion). In this report, you’ll discover how upcoming astrological events relate to your birth chart. To get the most accurate forecast, we’ll see what’s going on with Venus, the planet of love, as well as some other key players. This will give you everything you need to know, from why you’ve been in a romantic rut, to the best time to ask out your latest crush.

Planets
The planets of our solar system -- including the Sun, Moon, and Pluto -- create a sort of map in the cosmos. When a person looks at their Astrology birth chart, they are looking at the exact locations of each planet at the moment of their birth -- in essence, a map of their life.
Each planet is connected to a deity, archetype, or idea that represents some part of our fundamental nature as humans. By understanding the meaning of each planet and the ways it can influence our lives, we have the opportunity to understand not only what drives us, but, ultimately, how far we can go.
The Sun Your Ego Structure
Your Ego Structure
The Sun is the center of our solar system. All life revolves around it. In the same way, the ego is the center of personal identity and gives integration and continuity to individual experience. In this sense, it might be said that the Sun in Astrology reveals a person’s character and is the prime indicator of what the individual is trying to achieve. This is the fixed pillar at the center of the person around which all else revolves.
The sign placement of the Sun indicates how your natural drive and ambition are going to be directed. The sign of the Sun is the most primary indicator of the forms of experience you are attracted to. The house placement of the Sun shows the primary area of expression for the individual in life. There is a psychological, emotional, and physical significance to the house placement of the Sun.

The aspects of the Moon show general characteristics of the personality that are emphasized. Planets in aspect to the Moon are symbolic of qualities in the personality that are used instinctively, habitually, and with a high degree of versatility. While the Sun reveals your intended purposes and lessons for this present life cycle, the Moon represents what you have already done and developed, hence, what is instinctive and natural to you and what you tend to do over and over again.
Your childhood is also reflected in the Moon’s placement, because it’s through those childhood circumstances that any unresolved past-life issues are restimulated. Your subconscious predisposition is indicated by the Moon’s position as well. It is the psychic imprint of the past. Furthermore, the nodes of the Moon in an Astrology chart describe behavior patterns from the past and indicate the direction you are evolving toward as you move forward in your life.

Fire and Earth are primary elements and have to do with the self. Conversely, Air and Water are derivative and therefore more focused on others. Aspects
When a planet in the sky makes a specific angle to another planet, that angle is called an “aspect.” Planets that are aspecting each other are influencing each other, changing each other’s energy. Some aspects are soft, meaning that the qualities of the two planets come together smoothly and harmoniously. Other aspects are hard, meaning that the qualities are at odds with one another and may create tension or conflict.
There are a handful of different types of aspects, but most astrologers focus on six major aspects: the conjunction, sextile, square, trine, quincunx, and opposition. You can learn what each of these means -- plus a few rarer aspects -- by reading below.
A note about Orbs: Planets don’t have to be at the EXACT degree for us to feel its effects. The number of degrees that two planets can travel apart while still being considered in aspect is called the “orb.” Different astrologers use different orbs, but the closer that two planets are to an exact aspect degree (the smaller the orb), the more noticeable the effects will be.
Conjunction 0 degrees
0 degrees
If two planets occupy the same degree or are very close to each other, they are said to be conjunct. Most astrologers believe that conjunctions are dynamic, but not as difficult and challenging as squares and oppositions. Planets that are conjunct tend to energize each other.
Sextile 60 degrees
60 degrees
If two planets are close to being 60 degrees apart, they are said to be sextile to each other. Sextiles are similar to trine aspects and considered favorable.
Squares 90 degrees
90 degrees
If two planets are close to being 90 degrees apart, they are said to be square to each other. Almost all astrologers agree that squares are motivating but can be difficult. Some astrologers emphasize the negative potential of a square, while others focus on the character-building potential inherent in this aspect.
Trine 120 degrees
120 degrees
If two planets are close being 120 degrees apart, they are said to be trine to each other. Most astrologers agree that trines are soft and easy, pleasant and harmonious, but sometimes lazy. However, trines can provide relief from the tension inherent in more challenging aspects that may also be present in a person’s chart.
Quincunx 150 degrees
150 degrees
If two planets are close to being 150 degrees apart, they form a quincunx aspect. Most astrologers view the quincunx as being awkward, bothersome, and requiring adjustments from a person.
Opposition 180 degrees
180 degrees
If two planets are close to being opposite to each other in the sky, they are forming an opposition aspect. Most astrologers agree that oppositions are difficult and often emphasize challenges with other people. However, the challenges suggested by an opposition can be balanced and resolved with effort.
Semi-Sextile aspect 30 degrees
30 degrees
If two planets are close to being 30 degrees apart, they form a semi-sextile aspect. This is generally regarded as being a slightly harmonious or favorable minor aspect.
Semi-Square aspect 45 degrees
45 degrees
If two planets are close to being 45 degrees apart, they are in semi-square aspect. This minor aspect is similar to a square aspect, though often not quite as intense. Some astrologers feel that the semi-square creates very internal challenges or conflicts.
Sesquiquadrate 135 degrees
135 degrees
If two planets are close to being 135 degrees apart, they are in sesquiquadrate aspect. Generally regarded as being similar to a square, but some astrologers feel that this minor aspect is easier to release and express than a square aspect.
